How can i lose chin and belly fat only?

December 20th, 2009 | by admin |

I’m not entirely fat, only my belly and chin are.

My belly isn’t ultra huge but the fat is still there, and it’s noticeable considering that my arms and legs are thin.

As for my chin…usually when I smile, the extra fat I have under my chin kinda blends with my jawline and makes me look even fatter than I am.

My belly and my chin area are the only parts not in proportion to my body and I hate it. How can i lose those extra fat?

For my chin area, what exercises work the best?

You can’t.

Body fat comes off evenly. There is no spot training for removing fat. (You can’t burn fat just off your stomache, or legs, or wherever).

What you can do is diet and exercise. Watch what you eat, and do some sort of cardio work-out and eventually you’ll see results.

For cardio, you need to elevate your heart-rate for at least 30 minutes. Preferably closer to 45-60 minutes. You’ll have to look at your diet and see how and where you can adjut your caloric intake, but adding a work-out routine will help here as well (muscle burns calories even while at rest).

Easy diet change:

Cut out soda – calories from soda are outrageous.
Alot of flavored waters out there that make a great substitute and have 0 calories/sugar.

For your chin area the best exercise is getting down on your knees and suck.

you have to lose overall weight. you con’t just lose weight on a certain part of your body…you can only tone certain parts of your body.

You cannot "spot reduce" as I have been instructed.

If your condition is REALLY a physical problem..and not a mental problem…then surgery would be the only option.

Hi there, it is true that you cannot spot reduce. However, there are certain areas on the body that comes off faster than others, and this is different for each individual. My advice is to stay consistent with physical activity and eat a healthy diet. Your belly and chin will slowly go down on its own, but it may take longer than other areas on your body. Dont try to rush things, changing stubborn areas on your body is a evolutionary process…meaning it takes time but it will happen with consistency and hard work. The only real way to lose fat overall in the long run is a combination of diet, cardio, and resistance/strength training. Being physically active throughout the day is a huge plus, I believe that this is the fourth factor in the equation but alot of people miss this part out. If you are a construction worker, you will have it easier than if you were a secretary who sits all day. Well, good luck! Remember the key is consistency!

There is no such thing as targeted fat loss or weight loss all the same to me. Cardio exercises help the fat get burned off and doing sit ups will just make the stomache look slightly bigger because it gives muscle definition.

Unfortunately, there is no way to really do that as people have said above.

You can lose weight overall and target tone your problem areas with exercises.

For the belly, abs of steel, Windsor Pilate’s, or core secrets are good workouts to target tone your abdomen.

For the chin, Facercise has some great exercises that tone up the chin and neck. They work really quickly too.

If you are not chubby everywhere, you will lose more weight and tone the rest of your body with regular exercises for your whole body. The regular exercises and target toning really helps those areas a lot. You will see a difference.
