Boost Your Metabolism and Your Mood

March 9th, 2010 | by admin |

Many of us skip breakfast for one reason or another. Maybe to decrease your caloric intake or because you spend the entire morning running in circles. The question is – does it affect your mood or your ability to lose weight?

Can I have your opinion on my new "diet & exercise" plan..?
    - one shot of this 3 times a day: hotsauce, cayenne, lemon juice & cinnamon (to aid in boosting metabolism and digestion)

    - drink only water & green tea (no soda or fruit juices)

    - take ginseng, ginko & B vitamin supplements daily (to increase energy, focus, and overall happy mood)

    - remove sugar & salt from diet (as much as humanly possible, except for my chewing gum)

    - eat fruit & veggies as snacks

    - fruit for breaksat, salad w/ grilled chicken for lunch & something reasonable for dinner

    - exercise whenever i have free time, mostly jogging, crunches, and push-ups

what kind of results do you think ill see within 2 weeks? after one month? thanks!!!
the first conciction is not going to give your diarreah (spelling??) if you have the stomache to handle spicy things.. i handle spicy things very well… if you have a sensitive stomache however i would not quite reccomend that, lol, but having the craps will make u lose more wieght LOL…
ok sooo…. i just tried out that ‘concoction’ listed as #1…. wow that was a kick in the face… i’m going to revise that to "one time a day"… or maybe ill just go by cayanne pepper capsules from GN.. that was HARSH…

prolly around 4 lbs- 8lbs. u need to eat more like 2 scrambled eggs n 2 slices of toast for breakfast its healthier n makes u feel fuller n is better than fruit. for the most part it sounds good.

That will probably make you lose a good 5/8 lbs in the 1st week, but that will be 90% water weight, the 2nd week might be 2/3 lbs, and so forth. But if you stick to that, I would say in 1 month you could lose a grand total of approx 20/25 lbs

But it all depends on what you have for dinner and when you have it.

Ffeel free to keep me posted with your results. I would like to know!

    GOOD LUCK!

Sounds really good to me! Just be sure your still getting some bread and milk and such, you want your diet to be rounded. It seems like you’ll lose alot of weight doing this, hmmm, i might just try it! Haha, hope this helps! You’ll definatly lose 10 pounds by a month!

Sounds like a fad diet and probably isn’t doable for more than a few days at a time.

The first concoction is going to give you diarrhea.

Removing sugar & salt is good.

    Fruit & veggies are good.

You might try working in some whole grains into your breakfast.

Exercise is good but don’t’ overdo it.

I would just wait and see on the results. Don’t expect to lose a lot of weight overnight. It will happen but it will take time.

I think you are on the right track. Just remember that the results depend on your individual metabolism. I don’t know about the hot sauce, cayenne and cinnamon, but I do know that a glass of room temperature water with 1/4 lemon squeezed into it every morning will give your liver a really good jump start and will cleanse your system. You will probably even notice that your skin looks healthier within just a few weeks.
Also, don’t set yourself up for failure. Variety is the spice of life. Don’t make yourself feel deprived. Think of it as a life style change, not a diet. And if, now and then you want to treat yourself to a little something in moderation, know that it is OK to do so.
Best of luck to you. Stay healthy to stay happy!

I do not know about the shot 3 times a day, that sounds like a recipe for serious heartburn not boosting your metabolism. Also you need more than fruit for breakfast you need something with protein to hold you longer or you will get hungry to quick, reserve that fruit for your snack. They suggest 6 small meals now with a lean protein in each for best results. The exercises sounds good but be sure you actually do them, at least some activity for 30 minutes a day. As far as how much you will loose that completely depends on your metabolism and calorie intake. There are tons of websites that you can type in your ideal weight and they calculate your calorie intake in order to loose weight. Try the one below to start, it even tells you how many calories you can burn for each type of exercise. If you do not like calorie counting try the weight watchers website for the point system, it works I have personally tried it. Good luck! It sounds like you are off to a great start.

If you don’t mind going to all that trouble. Most vitamins and mineral sub’s contain more of the good stuff you need. About 20% of most of these are actually absorbed in your body, the rest leaving as waste. As an example; If your body chemistry needs 20mg. of v-C and you take 100mgs. you are only wasting the 80mgs. your body dosen’t need. Also, some herbal additives can clash with some vit’s & min’s. You may be working against yourself, especially if some are completely destroyed by others you take.
Your last comment should be first. Walking a brisk walk in the early morning will set your metabolism for the day. If you do nothing else, walk. In the first two weeks just walking, you should see about 2” disapear from your wasteline. However, you will probably not loose any weight. Keep it up for a month, and start to loose weight.
Eating right size portions and not starving your self will be a plus. But don’t depend on V’s & M’s to do it for you.

    P.S. I love green tea !
