How to lose weight with PCOS?
March 9th, 2010 | by admin |I have PCOS (Polycystic Overy Syndrome) and I would like to know some tips on losing weight with pcos as it feels like you can starve yourself and still be heavy. I’m not saying I am starving myself, but would like to know some healthy tips on losing weight with pcos
Women with PCOS often deal with insulin resistance. Insulin resistance tends to put on the belly weight. And the heavier the woman gets, the more severe the insulin resistance becomes, and losing weight becomes even more difficult. Vicious cycle.
Restricting your carbohydrates can help. Your body will need to produce less insulin to handle the foods you’re eating. Less fat will be deposited in your body by lowering your insulin levels. Also, exercise really helps IR by improving your body’s ability to effectively utilize insulin. Certain exercises are more helpful than others, like intensive aerobic exercise and walking.

PCOS is a benign condition, it could go away on its own when you lose your weight. So a normal way of dieting / losing weight may work well for you.
