I am 16 years old. I am 5ft 11 inches and 185 pounds. How do I lose weight?

March 3rd, 2010 | by admin |

Please help me out. I feel depressed everytime i see myself shirtless. I feel embarrased. Post like a workout schedule that I can do at home or a diet or something. Anything that avoids the gym. I am not allowed to go the gym. Any home exercises, diet sheet would be welcome. I am a hardcore non-vegetarian so please dont suggest vegan. I’d prefer to be fat then. Please help me out

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

    Include more of fruits and raw vegetables in your food and try to walk as much as possibly even doing up & down the stairs will work.

    I guess you are still in school. Why not take up a sporting activity in school? Anything will do as long as you enjoy it. You are not really overweight yet but will be soon if you don’t do anything about it. Brisk walking for about 20 minutes 3 times a week around your neighborhood is also good. And do not diet please. Rather eat sensibly and in moderation. Vegetables? I used to hate them when I was your age. But I enjoy them now (I’m 52) and realised what I missed before. But if you do not want to, it is ok. Just don’t over indulge on meat and those other fattening foods!

    Hello, I hope I can help you with your dilemma.

    First of all, losing the weight is not really too difficult if you go about it the right way.

    Where the real difficulty comes in for all dieters is actually KEEPING at your desired weight. Once again, if tackled the right way this should not be too much of a worry or a problem.

    To lose the weight there are several methods – all involve commitment from you.

    * Take more exercise (not necessarily the gym, but taking the stairs and not the lift, walk for 1/2 hour a day, etc)
    * Sensible eating habits – good breakfast, healthy lunch and a sensible dinner.
    * Eat protein (eggs are a good source) to help trigger the brain in to thinking you have eaten a satisfying meal.
    * No snacking.
    * Smaller portions.
    * Chew more and eat slower – this way the smaller meals will take as long to eat as the larger meals which originally caused the weight.
    * Drink more water to flush toxins, etc from your system.
    * Drink alcohol in moderation.
    * No crash diets (these result in yo-yo dieting)
    * More fruit and veg (+ vitamin and herbal supplements)
    * Do not expect immediate results – about 2-3 pounds average weight loss is sensible and safe.
    * If you are on medication – is the medication causing weight problems? If so, speak with your doctor.
    * Reward yourself occasionally with a treat (helps take away the mental drudgery of dieting)

    Once you have lost the weight you wanted, keep being sensible with what you eat and continue with moderate exercise (as shown above)

    The it’s welcome to the NEW YOU!!!!

    All the best and good luck.

    Richard

    Teenage guys are lucky because no matter what shape theyre in, its VERY easy to get back into shape.

    It should take 2 weeks to see results, and a month to feel good.

    1) every night, do 100 situps (leave one day for rest in a week)
    2) Dont drink anything else but WATER.
    3) Do not eat anything FRIED!!! not one bit! If you had to choose between a roast chicken and a fried chicken, you are not allowed to pick fried, EVER!
    4) Eat something with fibre – usually this is vegetables, so find one you like. Find some way to eat at least 1 veg you like – for me, i love lettuce with sauce. it just tastes awesome. and I’m a veg-hater lol
    OR you could eat fruit.

    I suggest citrus fruits, it helps SO much

    Weight loss is a tricky topic. Lots of people are unhappy with their present weight, but most aren’t sure how to change it – and many would be better off staying where they are. You may want to look like the models or actors in magazines and on TV, but those goals might not be healthy or realistic for you. Besides, no magical diet or pill will make you look like someone else.

    So what should you do about weight control?

    Hope this can help u. :)
